OT: CFL Thread

ArponBasu: I wonder what it feels like to know your team won in spite of you. That came to me as I watched Duval celebrate. Someone should ask him.

Awww, suckass sore loser tweeting. A tweet by a twit. They won, all Als can celebrate.

Oh Duval as every rights to celebrate. This is a team victory. But the Als did win dispite duval. He always seems to sucks when it comes to big games. He miss every single punt he did tonight and that's beside the 2 field goals he missed. Without him, the game is an easy win for the als.

Anyway, Kind of embarrased to see the place clean up as soon as the als won. No respect to stick around and see the cup being given. I guess losing 2 grey cup game in a row as this effect on the fans.

I'm a happy camper. Duval had me nervous all game but Parker was a monster on defence. He was my MVP tonight personally.

Bah...the Riders only got the ball to Dressler twice for a measly 11 yards. To me that was the biggest disappointment of the game, Dressler is one of the more exciting players in the CFL and he didnt do much of anything.

The Als won by 3... ergo they won because of Duval.

One thing I hate about the CFL, is that many teams feel forced to go with one player who handles both kicking and punting. Create another roster spot or something so that teams can carry both.

I don't follow the CFL, but it's nice to see these players get a bit of glory. Jamel Richardson sounded like he won the Super Bowl. That's cool. He's a guy who spurned the Vikings and a few other NFL teams a few years ago. Now he's got two straight Grey Cups.

Definitely should have won the MVP this year. I thought he was better than Burris on the field and is definitely a better leader.

I hate to say it... but some of the Canadian players are wee bit of a drag re: elite talent. That said, it's good football and some of these guys graduate to the NFL. That says a lot, IMO.

Most of the Americans playing in the CFL were stars on their college team, but are too undersized to play in the NFL.

It's a problem and especially so when the Ottawa franchise comes on board in 2013. There aren't enough good Canadian players to go around. However it doesn't help that a handful of good Canadians are playing in the NFL and many of them prefer to stay on NFL practice rosters rather than play up here. Somehow the CFL has to make to it more attractive for Canadian players to choose the CFL over a practice roster spot in the NFL (Sam Giguere is a good example)
