OT: CFL Thread

Definitely should have won the MVP this year. I thought he was better than Burris on the field and is definitely a better leader.

But the stamps have been bitching for years.

If he was healthy the whole year perhaps he wins it. But he missed 2 games.

LOL ,well not really, the bottom range could as low as $40,000 or less if you are on a practice roster.

Heck most of the college players can get better starting salaries using their degree instead of playing football. But hey...for only six months of work and a lot of chicks...why not?

Ya..lost of players have 2nd jobs in the offseason.

There are a few teams that would beat them. If we talk history then there are more. Playing US rules I mean, not this Chinese fire drill at a red light faggoty shit. Although they'd still probably beat them then too.

Give it a rest.

The whole weekend was awesome.

Riderville party was sweet. Saw bif naked and big sugar play.
The pre-game show was bad. Half time was alright. Im sure for the 100th year in Toronto they will have some bigger acts (they have had BEP, Shania Twain and others in the past).

Huddletown was good, the parade was pretty good as well.
The atmosphere at the game was not as good as last year but then the game wasnt as exciting.

I was not really upset or nervous during the game....like I was last year (the Riders are now the new Als....made it 3 of 4 years, only one once).

Congrats to the Als.

Oh...and for the booing...if there was much. If it was anything like last year the Al players should stop taunting the crowd.

Nice to see you have kept your end of the bet. And glad the Als won because Count would have looked pretty silly with a watermelon on his head.

The game was professionally played, considering the weather. Only one turnover. I can't remember any catchable balls that were dropped (Green dropped one that would have been remarkable if he caught it). The only thing that looked rather amateurish was the kicking game.

It wasn't a typical CFL barnburner. If the Canada day game between these two teams at the beginning of the year was the Grey Cup game, then this would have been considered a Grey Cup classic.

There were quite a few.
Als should have had 2 INTs, the Riders 3.
Getzlaf also missed 2 easy balls and another fairly catchable one.
Als missed a few as well...2 were for WIDE open receivers.

As for the kicking game...I said before the game that the Riders better not need a FG to win/tie. With Congi out I was not looking forward to that....but once they were down by 3 I was praying for a tieing FG. Haha.

Well I wasnt considering the defense , LOL, there is a reason why they play defense, they can't catch the ball! Even the NFLers drop most interceptions.

And yes, both quarterbacks were rather average, a lot of badly thrown balls, but the blitzing defenses had something to do with it.

Haha. True.

and much different game than last year.

Though within 3 points ... again.

I also heard that Mitchells leg did not look good. IE: foot was going the wrong direction.
