OT: The News Thread

That man was like our very own George W. Bush when it came to press conferences and inability to communicate in any known human language. God I miss him sometimes.

He would win if he ran right now. He would whip this pansy group of liberals into fighting shape within 18 months of taking over as the party leader. **** me they've been lost without him.

It's actually very similar to Cheney's knowns and unknowns speech.

Yep. I think it's party similar in that if people stop being obtuse, it does make sense. The wording is awkward, but his point is valid. Just like Cheney's "known unknowns." There is an operational difference between things you know are gaps in your knowledge and things you didn't even know you were missing out on.

that was rummy's "known unknowns".

So I noticed that MIT has a lot of open courses online but they lack any type of certification. Well, that has changed as they are now offering a free course in electrical engineering with certificate.

Pretty interesting and hopefully this continues. Gotta admire the amount of work that went into this free service.

I signed up!

Check it out. https://6002x.mitx.mit.edu/

Most of the "gaffes" along those lines weren't gaffes, per se, they just weren't worded as professionally as we're used to hearing from high level politicians.
