OT: The News Thread

Yeah that is part of the reason Pat Hickey called him a hypocrite. He is going around flapping his gums constantly about it that is good but he said nothing for years, denied it to the death and even hired the guy who molested him knowing it could possibly put players on the Hitmen at risk.

Like Mike Danton continuing to be in close contact with David Frost. They have serious mental problems as a result of the abuse they suffered at the hands of their abusers.

Die with dignity?

I don't remember the details but wasn't the Jefferson/Frost situation more psychological than sexual? I don't recall there being sexual aspects although I admit I didn't pay much attention to that case.

He will probably be just fine. I think they lock up all the "undesirables" in KP.

He'll be in PC with his own kind the entire time wherever he ends up.

and a public case like this, they'll all know who the new guy is and what he's in for. 730 days will be a loooong time for him

He won't spend near that number of days in jail.

James is eligible for day parole in September when will have served six months of his two-year sentence. He’s eligible for full parole when he serves one third of his sentence, meaning he could be released in November

No matter what the sentence, the parole rules would apply/

I just hate it when people equate justice working to:

a) all those charged are found guilt; and

b) all those found guilty get sentences that I want them to get.

If either a) or b) do not exist, then the system is a pathetic failure.

I see it the other way, the system works because it does not cowtow to the hang em high mentality the mob has.

Once you start following the mob, youno longer have a justice system that works.

I've been told that studies have indicated that shift work will reduce your life expectancy by ~10 years. I don't know if that's truly accurate, but it does take a toll on your body. By the end of the two weeks of nights I feel like a zombie.

I'm facked!

Run 3 shifts on 24 hour day for about 12 years. From about 11-12am to 5-6pm, home for dinner and tv, back at 11-12 till 5-6 in the morning. Five years later and I still can't shake the night shift.
