Michel Therrien

One thing i liked was that when the game was 3-1 and 4-1 he had Galchenyuk take Plekanec's time on the PP

- saves Plekanec for later in the year.
- Get Galchenyuk experience (and his goal came right after the penalty expired.

Now in a 2-2 game that is plek's spot, but these little things really will help this season (and the future).

They're obviously not going to continue scoring four goals a game but I like this team much better than last season's debacle.

Last year they would have totally folded in the third period and lost in regulation. They gutted it out for the last 8 or 9 minutes.

I see a different Therrien beind the bench. look to be a more player coach than before. Gives lots of encourangement. Even tonight, you saw him going to pad Gally in the back on his first NHL goal. He is far from Martin that's for sure.

I do start to believe that he indeed changed a lot since his last stink in the NHL. Hopefully it continues to work.

MT must be doing something right as this team looks nothing like last year's death-mobile so far. So far.

During the RDS broadcast, Marc Denis said the guys behind the bench are nothing like last year. They coach them during the game. Dandenault is always giving praise, correcting, same for Gallant and Therrien. I saw Michel go over and pat Gallagher after his first goal. Martin/Cunneyworth would never have acknowledged it.

I thought you liked the Mortician.

I was against firing him solely to keep scarface (who hasn't done all that much) and don't like the constant coaching carousel.

I like that MT and staff actually had a designed scheme for the 4-3 (a rare event). They called a TO and had what looked like a spirited huddle.

We had that in Kirk Muller, but what good is he they thought, and now he's got his own head coaching gig.
