Leafs - Sens - Habs 2013-14

As right as when you said Ryan > JVR, and he's a closer comparable to Kessel?
I know you have a hard time keeping up with things.

But about a week ago I admitted that Kessel has created alot of room due to a hot streak. As of now, he's got the clear lead.

JVR is also benefiting from over 20 minutes of icetime a game. I'd still take Ryan over him any day of the week.

Both players are on an equal level this season, but given that JVR is 2 years younger and has yet to reach his potential my preference would be JVR.

A week ago it was pointed out to you that JVR has been playing at that pace or more pretty much all season, not just during Kessel's latest hot streak.

LEARN TO QUOTE.

Both players are not on an equal level. One is getting nearly 3 minutes more per game. Top line. Top PP.

I can't pretend to understand what goes through Macleans head.

Tell me why Chris Phillips plays the PP. Lots of curious moves on our PP this year. Drives me nuts.

So what you're saying is that Maclean is refusing to play a guy just as good as Phil Kessel more than 2nd line icetime....just because? No reason?

Pretty sure its now 3 highly respected coaches who have all played Ryan about the same minutes.

Why single out maclean?

it doesn't matter what Ryan did elsewhere or what his previous coaches did, the only thing that matters is in Ottawa he is as good as Kessel if only that dastardly coach of his wasn't holding him back

Kessel (558gp-212g-221a-433pts)-.78ppg
Ryan (430gp-166g-163a-329 .765ppg

The numbers are close but Kessel has been on an upward trend since 2008-09, Ryan hasn't been.

No matter how much you like or dislike Ryan, he had some pretty tough company to crack the #1 PP.

Getzlaf, Perry, Selanne. Not many players can get considerable time on a top line when those three are holding a spot.

That sounds almost as tough as his competition to get on the Sens #1 PP... what is it now, broken down Spezza, 'I forgot how to score' Michalek, and 'Leafs castaway' MacArthur?

to be fair, Cork has expressed being baffled and frustrated as to why this is the case.

Frankly, so am I.

Which is why I don't understand Macleans aversion to talent on the PP.

He's got Chris Friggin' Phillips playing consistent #1 minutes. It's absurd.
