Round 2 | Montréal vs. Boston

it was a very smart move by the bruins

now we are talking about price and not how rask sucks vs the habs
which is important for a team coming into montreal with the massive amounts of media around

Except he doesn't suck as much at the Bell Centre

Here's how I see it, we CAN win this series but 2 things have to change drastically:

1). We have to find some kind of solution to their tenacious forecheck on our D. They dump it in and fly into our zone (so much for the B's being slow) to hit our smallish D with their big forwards before we can effect a proper breakout. As a consequence of this, see point 2 below:
2) We have to quit turning over the puck at our blueline. I know they're quicker than we expected and big and physical but it has to stop. I counted 14 turnovers in the first 2 periods of the first game and lost count in the third. There were 3 turnovers at the blueline on one shift!
Price also has to continue outplaying Rask. This of course goes without saying.

Its up Therrien and the staff to someohow find a breakout pattern from our own end that can defeat this, its time for him and his staff to start earning their keep, because if they don't we will lose this series. If we can somehow do this we should be able to stop the turnovers and get some odd man breaks. I didn't believe for a second that the Bruins (as much as it pains me to admit it) were much slower than us.

That is how I see it...

ring it around the boards doesnt work...we need to stop that

Really? Do you actually watch the games? I have to wonder with you some times. This Canadiens is way, way better than the 2010 team. We had no business losing game 2 on Saturday. Only a fool would think otherwise.

We had no business losing a game in which we scored most of our goals on the PP, we got outshot, and we allowed 5 goals ? Our only goal coming from Weaver when Rask was on his ass...

A team that outshoots the opposing team, dominates 5-on-5 play, and then loses, that's a team that had no business losing the game (like Bruins in Game 1)

That's right. The Bruins were down 3-1 and had 2 shots through the first 11 minutes of the 3rd period. We had no business losing that game.

I like how goaltending and special teams are not part of hockey.

I like how your post does nothing to contradict my argument....

You get outshot, you allow 5 goals in a playoff game, you got outplayed

Right ?

So you choose to stop analyzing the game after the first 11 minutes of the 3rd period.....nice.....reminds me of my Habs home games, but I stop watching earlier

You know that the whole 60 minutes count towards judging if a team deserved to win/lose....

Max is playing perimeter again, he's not even getting quality scoring chances so I don't think he's anywhere near getting hot unless he starts going in tough areas to score

Mike Weaver
With no MTL Weaver apparel... My waitress handmade her T-shirt with a flat iron

No one here agrees with your "analysis" - I'm being generous by calling it that, btw- because it's wrong.
