OT: NBA Playoffs - Around the League

Kudos to the Spurs. Unbelievable team play. No passengers. Parker was phenomenal, barely missed in the fourth.

Heat didn't play to their potential. Much was due to the Spurs but also to the Heat just not getting it done.

Disheartening. After the Habs bow out a win would have been nice.

Curious to see what they do this off-season.

The funny thing is how all those guys, but specifically Jordan and Lebron, were short changed when it came to regular season MVP's.

Marc J. Spears
"You guys are trying to find answers. I'm not going to give you one," said LeBron about his contract situation.

That's awesome regardless of what his plans are........but particularly great if he knows full well he's staying.

and other than 10-11, I can't think of any other year that Lebron was short changed in. He's lead the league in win shares 5 times in his career and won MVP in 4 of those.

Jordan though, absolutely. But Lebron, nah.

So Lebron wasn't short changed.....except that year that he obviously was.

I also would have given him the MVP over Steve Nash in 2005, personally.

Your reading comprehension has really fallen to shit lately. Either that or this android scumbag routing is requiring more and more effort.

Dirk deserved it over both

Sounds to me like you saying Lebron was short changed.

Sounds like you're saying he wasn't?

Argument is definitely between Lebron or Dirk......unlike what most people seem to think, which is that it was between Kobe or Nash.

My pick would have been Lebron....yours would be Dirk. I'll leave it at that, as on the night of the NBA Finals, after watching some of the most impressive basketball I've seen in eons....I can't think of a more boring debate to have than rehashing who was more deserving of a individual trophy almost a decade ago.

So the floor is yours for the last word on the least relevant discussion of the evening....

17.7 > 16.3, etc etc..

In comparison with Jordan, no he hasn't been. If we're expanding the conversation to "who's been ****ed out of a single MVP", we're required to expand the conversation significantly, to the point that crying about Lebron being "short changed" becomes meaningless because there's no many others who have been hooped out of a single MVP award due to shitty voting. Jordan though, people were dying to give the award to anyone but Jordan on a number of occasions, despite Mike being the runaway best player in the league every year for a decade.

The two simply don't belong in the same discussion on this.

Who gives a shit? Really?

Jordan was the best player of his time. LeBron is the best player right now. Too bad he doesn't have a Pippen, Rodman and a Kukoc coming off the bench. Heck even Armstrong and Grant did more than the Heat supporting cast.

OK, since a couple of you clearly follow contract stuff in the NBA, how does the options work for the Heat? I know LeBron's but are Wade's and Bosh's the same? Are they only player options or can the club walk away this summer?

Edit: NM found the answer.

I think the Heat are ****ed. Player options only. I just don't see Wade and Bosh opting out. I hope LeBron is not too pissed over the clear lack of support in the finals.

I'd say Miami had a better overall supporting cast on paper, especially over the Bulls first three-peat.

Wade
Bosh
Allen

>

Pippen
Grant
Armstrong

They just played like shit and the Spurs Popoviched them.

Yeah they all signed the same gay contracts.

This is what I've been telling you for a few months now man. Shit is in place for Bron to walk, with both Wade & Bosh being pretty difficult to move (and yeah, not a chance either is opting out unless Riley pulls the rumoured Carmelo rabbit out of his hat)
