Leafs/Habs/Sens 2014-15

It's a solid run but if they come up short it's going to be forgotten about quickly. 9th place is pretty useless.

Meh, on my list of despised teams, the sens don't really even rank. I would much rather watch the Pens falter, or the Bruins.

Still, getting harder to wish them ill doesn't mean I don't hope they still end up 1 point shy of the playoffs.

I said it was shitty - but at this point in the season, getting points matters more than how the game played out.

We had a potential 6 points available and we got 4. That's okay.

I'll keep this simple- You're tied with Boston for the final WC spot, had you beaten us a few days ago you'd be soley in a playoff position currently. Yes, you're right points matter... so why are you not as upset about it? All these games are critical for you guys.

I'm in the same boat, I kinda admire their tenacity but what kills it for me is their fans... 9th place is rather fitting finish for them if you ask me.

Penguins get Islanders/Sabres while Sens get Flyers/Rangers. Pens should easily do away with the Sabres but that Islanders game will be the wild card.

Because it's not realistic to win 25 straight games.

Ottawa *did* draft Marian Hossa 12th overall, Martin Havlat 26th overall (in a horrific draft that was something), and Erik Karlsson 15th overall, so it's not like ending up with the 14th overall selection would be a death sentence for their scouting staff.

Especially in a year that is universally regarded as being the deepest draft since 2003.

Pac was rocked. I wouldn't be surprised if he is out for a month.

Macarthur slid into Lehner and they were both out for 3 weeks and counting.

Conkys are a crazy thing.

Travis Konecny is ranked to go 15th. We aren't going to get a dud in that position.

The 10-20th picks are always a bit of a crap shoot.

Also - I don't think we had a team that was bottom 5 in the league - never did (though hoped for an epic Leafs-like slide at Christmas).

I would take a 2nd half turn around and huge playoff push on the backs of young players over coasting at .500 or lower for a marginally better pick.

You're right it's absurd to think any team could pull off winning non stop for 1/4 of a season, that wasn't my point though and per usual you completely missed it. My point is you're acting non-chalant about losing to a bottom feeder and saying you gained points, mine was while you may have gotten a loser point out of that game you still badly needed that extra one, had you gotten it that alone would put you solely in 8th.

Yeah we have beaten this narrative within an inch of its life, lets let it go at this point.
