Here's the issue...Ward will likely be looking for term at his age rather than the biggest dollar figure.

Say he finds a 4 year deal,by year 3-4 you're looking at a guy that is 36-37

Not sure there is a fit on this team. We have enough 3rd liners.
 
Off topic: I was looking at Ben Pouliot numbers and he put up some decent numbers(19 goals), of course he is overpaid and long contract but seems getting good playing time(17-18 minutes per game) was kind of beneficial for him. I guess even season before that with Rangers he did ok after January and during playoff.
 
The Avalanche have signed Francois Beauchemin to a three-year, $13.5 million deal... $4.5M AAV.
