Watched him on TV against the Marlies this past weekend. , he's got good size and skating. Kind of moves around the ice like Galchenyuk did when he first started playing pro. They both have similar body types and skating stride.
 
I thought he skated like McCarron when he was called up this year.

Good to here his skating can be considered good because that was looking like a negative in my limited viewing.

Nah, much better skater than McCarron

Scherbak has the tools of a fine scoring winger. He is quick, agile and has great endurance. His wrist shot is released quickly and is both hard and accurate. He has the ability to make a play out of nothing with crafty stick work and a pivot that fools defenders.

Bergevin needs to decide if making the playoffs is important to development or not.

Marlies and Bulldogs are fighting for the last playoff spot.

McCarron is getting next to no icetime in Montreal. We add a bunch of guys at the deadline. Does he send McCarron down (even if just a paper transaction) at March 1st at 3:00pm. Nope. McCarron is now ineligible for any more AHL regular season games or playoff games this season. ****ing stupid.

Yesterday is the AHL trade deadline. The Bulldogs do nothing. The Marlies want to get in the playoffs, what do they do. Add one of the top centres in the AHL (Cal O'Reilly) on a loan from the Sabres til the end of the season. He is still Sabres property, but will play down the stretch for the Marlies and in the playoffs.


Playoff race hockey... Playoff Hockey... These help develop your kids. The Leafs do that. Getting O'Reilly will help their prospects develop by playing meaningful hockey. What did we do to help our farm team? jack shit.

He was and is eligible.

And tell him to just focus on getting scoring chances for fsakes! He can't go his whole NHL career without a single scoring opportunity.
 
The vets are trying to will the IceCaps into the playoffs.

3-2 IceCaps after two periods. Farnham and Friberg both have a goal and an assist. de la Rose has the other goal.
