Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2021-22 Edition

you had to go way back to use Eric as an example..

Yeah, because hockey players almost never say anything other than clichés. Whenever they do, they make headlines.

I honestly can't think of any other player openly saying he didn't want to go to X place. And I don't fault them at all for it.

I think he would. I would knowing how good the package was that landed Lindros.
As good as Forsberg was... and they got some other good parts. I still take Lindros all day every day.

It sucks that injuries destroyed both of their careers.

In hindsight, sure.

Lindros was seen as a generational, could be all-time-great player.

I would never pass up on trading for a player who would openly say, "I don't want to play here" to his current team. Players have a right to say that, the same way organizations have the right to tell them to pound sand.
And most of the times with guys like this, it's that they're NHL ready but the team isn't giving them the chance. They'd be happy to be there if they could play.

Whipping boy JD is a prime example.. attitude right? The difference with him is that we gave up a good piece to get him so we have to be patient. Why would you want to do the same thing for a "at best" 3rd liner.. just to make a deal? .. we need more deals like the one that landed Armia, where we gave up NOTHING..

JD cost us an A level prospect who is getting better and better and only 21 . JD has made no impact on this team and was a dumb trade from day 1 , most would take a mulligan right now .

Armia was a near bust in Winnipeg and already 24 . He has played well for us and provides much needed size .

Lias isn’t costing you Caufield not even close .

He was projected to be a solid 2 way C/LW top 6 player in the ROR or Bergeron mold playing a 200 foot game with grit

As mentioned sometimes a change of scenery is what you need .

A typical trade is an even up kid for kid not panning out like Mittelstadt or a pick and prospect move

We can do easily get involved , and should go for it.

Andersson will cost an equivalent 1st round not yet ready for prime time player - it’ll end up being Toivonen, Puljujarvi, or Mittlestadt, Habs don’t have that component to offer up other than Juulsen who I suspect no one will take on due to health issues

Lias has been suspended because he left his team.. he has struggle in the AHL and he demands a trade? This coming from a guy who threw his medal... STAY AWAY!

We have plenty of picks and fillers to make a deal , no excuse

I am surprised by some of you, others not so much, why would you want a guy who has struggled in the AHL but yet thinks he should play in the NHL.. demands a trade ., leaves his team, gets suspended.. this is a guy who threw his medal into the fans.. who does this shit.. i spoiled self entitled KID.. no thanks
