OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

If only I knew what it was like to be a black man in America so that I could understand why punks of all races are justified to burn and pillage and break into boutiques and steal as many expensive items as they can carry out. But alas I’m white so I can’t begin to judge this.
You have an impressive ability to miss the forest for the trees

Random question, somewhat covid related.

My ex works at a daycare as the daycare director. Hourly pay.

Obviously the daycare is shut down due to pandemic. Come to find out she is being asked to (and has been), going in unpaid to do work during pandemic (she said she has been offered to be paid 'in kind').

Latest one is she needs to go in and clean out anything that will not be allowed in the daycare once it opens. Then meet with the parents and give back their children's belongings, also unpaid.

This seems ludicrous to me. I've suggested she contact the ministry and consider and/or consider a work refusal.

Am I off base or does this seem illegal? Seems to me if she were to injure herself at work, she may be sol for a wsib claim since she isn't being paid.

Input welcome and appreciated.

Side note- I'm not familiar with 'in kind' pay but it just sounds fishy.

UK is about to pass Spain in deaths per million which will make them probably the worst covid country in the world, depending on how you judge much smaller Belgium.

Boris really, really screwed the pooch.

And Sweden is about to pass France and move in just behind UK, Spain, and Italy (and belgium) to become one of the very worst hit countries in the world, and far far worse than any of their Scandinavian brethren.

No clue. I just know it was really rough back in March. Hopefully they get the testing worked out soon.

Those symptoms definitely sounded like you had it, I guess it could have just been a poorly timed regular virus exacerbated by anxiety or a panic attack. Very strange. They do need to figure out the truth about antibodies asap.

Slight uptick in Ontario today. Can tell you where a lot of cases came from.

Scott Lynn is an agricultural/farming operation in SW Ontario. Yesterday they had 3 migrant workers showing symptoms. 1 of the 3 tested positive. Ended up isolating 140 employees (not sure if all were migrant). Today, 90 tests back, 85 positive. 25 showing symptoms, 5 hospitalized.

This is one farm (may not even be the whole farm, they are a huge operation).
