GDT #2 - AUG 4, 4pm, SN - Mustish Win

Muzzin is a huge loss. without him we won't be able to keep shutting them out like this. so hopefully the offensive domination continues.

In terms of the injury mechanism, it would be very, very unlikely for this to be a fracture. His neck snapped back, there was no direct contact with actual cervical vertebrae. A dislocation is possible but that would lead to him not being able to move it at all and not have any control of his fingers and he was moving them pretty easily.

95% chance this is a whiplash/stinger injury.

I wouldn't go that far. If no fracture a stinger can sometimes be gone in a day or two.

He'll have to leave the bubble for tests & medical care, though, won't he? Then it's a minimum of four days quarantine (assuming negative tests) before they let him back in. The fifth game of this series, if needed, is on the 9th.

As mentioned, all they really need right now is an xray which they have on site. If no fracture then doctors on site will likely be sufficient. If they aren't convinced and they need an MRI he will have to leave the site for sure.

To be fair it isn't easy to make big saves with limited action all game. He had a few nice ones, namely when they were 4 on 4. Also made a couple of 10 beller saves in Game 1. Has looked pretty quiet and solid in the net overall.

Still annoyed by the softie but he's been very sharp overall.

Well now you have to rally and win the next one for Muzz. Less of a chance for a letdown now from a young team who just finished a dominating performance. They played without him for a bunch of games pre-restart and did fine. Muzzin or no Muzzin we should be able to handle this team.

Yup. Rallying cry is there now.

And Dermott is ready for his close up.

Sucked to lose Muzz at the end and hope he’ll be back soon. We got it done though and tied up the series. The goal by Papi was a giant relief and Tavares’ goal was big too. Glad Freddy got the shut out, maybe that boosts his confidence. So we’re guaranteed a game 4 on Friday — let’s hope that’s our 3rd straight and series win.

and remember....Holl might just be really, really good
You might say he's a late bloomer but ...
