Definitely need someone to bang after those 5 point nights.I would be very surprised if the players agreed to do a bubble again.
I think that was the real point behind Mitchy's comments.
Yeah, let’s get going soon. Miss it and these are the prime years for our team!I don't care, just start playing already. Winter without hockey is bullshit.
Yeah or just do a Toronto bubble for everyone again.
It's so Maple Leafs to finally build a young strong team through the draft only to have a worldwide epidemic fuck with at least two of the critical seasons of the window. So Leafs.Yeah, let’s get going soon. Miss it and these are the prime years for our team!
Not to mention no cap rise for a while. It's so Maple Leafs to finally build a young strong team through the draft only to have a worldwide epidemic **** with at least two of the critical seasons of the window. So Leafs.

I mean it’s two years of prime Big 3, and more importantly two years of prime Tavares.I don't really get the idea of these being critical window years.
When the big 3 were on their ELCs, sure, those were critical years.
But the first couple years where the core is all getting paid top dollar were always going to be the toughest years.
It should only get easier going forward as the next wave of young ELC talent comes up and the cap rises.
No one cares unless the contract starts with double digits it seems. No one even ever adds together what some teams are wasting on 4th liners and guys that are healthy scratches.Huge contracts didn't make much difference
They paid $7.5m on the "2nd pair dmen" Ceci and Barrie.
They spent $10.5m on the "3rd line" kerfoot AJ Kapanen.

These aren’t normal seasons. Our kids probably come out of an 82 game season much better than most other teams, while 56 games benefits some older teams (cough, Boston) more. You're talking like they've cancelled the seasons.
The only thing to be mad about was dolling out huge contracts and thinking that's establishing a new normal.
