Around the League 2019-2025 Edition

Apparently many owners have been voicing disapproval over the new division alignment. Heard one of those owners is Eugene Melnyk

Really fucks with the Sens ticket pricing when they can't charge premium ticket prices for visiting US teams.

If melnyk or the gov think this will keep.people safe and then they lose ALL their revenue, they can all go and eff themselves,

This is where rogers will step in and say.......no no. You get your money from us this year. You ain't screwing us over

how do we know the Cops didn’t also give the guy a sandwich and a cup of coffee?

People are losing their minds on twitter. There’s a lot of things not to like about our cops; this isn’t one of them. They at least acknowledged this guy’s existence, made him feel significant, which is more than what 99% of us do.

Have the internet detectives figured out who the player is yet? The jersey does not appear to be an NHL logo.

Yeah I don't fault the cops too much, homelessness is a complex issue and there's only so much you can do, plus we don't really know exactly what they did or didn't do.

As for the player, I was trying to figure that out myself. Someone suggested Joe Murphy as he recently was homeless and even sleeping in the woods at one point, I googled his hockey cards but the card in the pic didn't come up.

It doesn't mention NHL, only "hockey player", I'm guessing he was a popular junior player in Ontario.

Red and white jersey.

Have to wonder if the leak yesterday was simply to put pressure on the provinces to accept the proposal from the NHL.

The NHL has shown that they want games in NHL buildings. Where can they accomodate double the dates, double the practice facilities etc.

MLSE has also shown that they dont want to play in someone elses building. TFC went to UCONN and the Raps are in Tampa.

Yeah relocating 7 franchises seems to be more unworkable than a Canadian division.

If certain provinces are an issue (probably due to hospital capacity) then a canadian bubble where teams play for 2 weeks then go home for a week would be better than relocating 7 franchisee and likely hundreds of people for each team.
