I’ve watched him play down here for Quinnipiac, skilled but he plays scared & small. I don’t see him ever making it to the NHL, but anything possible I guessExcellent. Even though the Panthers will be good again next year the first in 2023 is preferred. I know nothing about the prospect though.
BTW, greetings to all from Manilla.
He did make the US WJC team which is impressive enough. Anyway I would have been fine with Chariot for the first straight up.I’ve watched him play down here for Quinnipiac, skilled but he plays scared & small. I don’t see him ever making it to the NHL, but anything possible I guess

The pick will in all likelihood be in the twenties range. Not much different from a high second, probably. I find it hard to get excited about that , But the return was about as well as we could do, and we needed to do it. There's always the gamble of Florida falling off the map in 2023, but you can't factor that in really.
The teams willing to give up a first rounder for a player down the stretch of course are all going to pick late.
A long playoff run can lead to a middle of the pack year for Florida. The pick will in all likelihood be in the twenties range. Not much different from a high second, probably. Ben's biggest problem is that his hockey IQ/hockey sense is VERY low. Otherwise he's fine. But that low hockey IQ is especially problematic for a d-man. It's much less noticeable in a forward.Still can't believe we tricked another team into giving us a first rounder-plus for Chiarot lol.

I'm not saying something can happen to players but you never know there are a lot of Hab fans down in Florida.A long playoff run can lead to a middle of the pack year for Florida.
Then it’s difficult to get complimentary players as a serious contender. A good gm will take risk when warranted . You only get a legitimate chance at the cup so many times.Big risk ( ask Ottawa and SJS ) doling out future picks with no protection
I would never hand one out unless its top 10 protected
