OT: Soccer thread

Who are your go to twitter follows for soccer / Tottenham?
I've been watching a lot of Tifo football vids for tactics knowledge, which has helped a lot as I didn't know much about that part of the game.

Tifo just dropped this one which is pretty perfect for getting a handle on Ange’s system…and what to keep an eye out for on game days.

Kane scored his first for BM. Look at who set it up, as per the Guardian:

It was made by Davies, who meep-meeped thrillingly down the left and slid a fine angled pass infield to Kane. His first touch was immaculate, setting himself up for a shot from the edge of the area with his second. Kane gave Pavlenka the eyes and then dragged his shot towards the near post. It took a slight touch off the sliding Pieper but it was going in anyway.”

Edit. Big league stuff here, pass and finish:

Bastards.

Damn, sounds like Tottenham were close to signing Randal Kolo Muani, but got gazumped by PSG last minute….great pickup for them as Neymar and eventually Mbappe move on.

@Deckie007 I’d recommend checking out some Brighton games, it Tottenham don’t end up being your think, Brighton are playing some gorgeous football, aren’t part of the big money mafia, and have a phenomenal analytical scouting department who have been consistently finding gems of late.

They do things right. (Also if you ever find yourself in England, i suspect their tickets are much easier & cheaper to get).

They also wear Leafs Blue & white…and are the “seagulls” lol.

Postecoglou put out my dream lineup for todays match….Porro in for Royal at RB (increases our offensive potential…but makes us weaker defensively on that flank)…..and Sarr in for Skipp who is flat out better all around.

Also nice to see Romero is healthy and good to go.

Can’t believe all this action has taken place in just 36 mins…

Don’t care what happens this year, but we can build something real special under Ange with a core of Maddison (26), Bissouma (26), Udogie (20), Sarr (20), Romero (25) and Van de Ven (22)…. they all look tailor made to play this system, and have hit the ground running. Front 3, and RB may all need upgrades long term.
