OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Might be catching the Mavs on the right night. Luka played 42 minutes in a loss last night, and they only have one day off between tonight and a matchup with the Celtics in Boston on Friday night. Can't see Kidd pushing him more than 33-34 minutes tonight. Kyrie played 39 last night as well.

And they are probably malnourished after Max Strus ate all their lunches

The problem with not trading Trent at the deadline is that you must continue to give him minutes even if you want him to fuck off and play someone else

I'm figuring the idea is to keep him as a S&T asset, or the expectation is that he'll be a cheapish rotation shooter. If no one was throwing a 1st for him at the deadline, who is throwing more than 2/30 for him in free agency? I'd take him on a 1+1 and then let him compete for minutes. I prefer Lonnie Walker by a fair bit, but if that's not an option, Gary is at least a decent floor spacer and can crush open looks.

I dont think i want him at any number....i know what he is, and so should they, but i suspect they still like him enough to watch him with the new group but for me he's just in the way and unless the number is too good to pass up i dont want him around

You know how I feel, but I think there's a real chance that Gravy outplays him and steals the starting spot before the end of this season. I think Darko tolerates Gary more than he likes him, I don't see any rotation fuckery happening there for long.

We could do a lot worse as a bench shooter than Gary

unfortunately his 3pter has abandoned him.

Another summer of work will help a lot. He's 22. It's easy to forget how young that is. Vince was a rookie at 22, Kyle was still in Memphis and 3 years away from being a Raptor. Demar didn't make his first ASG or score 20+ a game until 24. Kawhi put up 13/6 at 22.
