Perry and Kapanen are playing well and contributing. Thats why they're in the top 6.

Losing Marner for nothing is probably going to destroy us. I'm bracing myself for impact from the nosedive if he leaves.

Only because you have no faith in your GM's ability to replace him. But it's not like they won't use that Marner money on replacing him, and they dont need his regular season points to still make the playoffs with relative ease.

It always does. I'd argue that if tanking doesn't hurt you aren't doing enough tanking or you aren't doing it properly.

But eventually, tanking becomes necessary. It's better to do a controlled burn rather than waiting for a forest fire over which you have no control.

To your point I would never move back to Montreal even though I grew up there. Visits are enough for me.

I saw something earlier on socials that said Knies and Tavares extensions would be announced before the draft according to Mirtle, but when I did a quick search to see what the exact rumor was, I didn't find anything from Mirtle saying that.
