…and Rogers is either going to do away with having a radio broadcast crew altogether, or they’ll replace Bowen with some Habs, Sens or Canucks fan, won’t they?

Traditionally, radio PxP guys were paid employees of the team, not the radio station. But now, thanks to "convergence", the radio station is the team and vice-versa.

The Leafs are far from the first team to start cheaping out when it comes to their radio coverage. It starts when the crew only does home games and has to call away games from a studio. Im sure AI will eventually make even that much unnecessary.
