I keep forgetting how young you are. When I was 7 I was watching All in the Family and The Jeffersons.

The Leafs are paying Tavares-Roy-Maccelli just under $11 mill. Which IMO perfectly illustrates why signing Tavares in the first place was so detrimental. That’s a whole, legit middle 6, line of players.

Was Tavares ever with an entire 2nd/3rd line with the Leafs? He couldn’t even carry his own line in the playoffs.

Be warned, it is pretty liberating
 
And now I think the Leafs can put together 3 lines that can score. In an ideal world they need a top line forward and to rework the D a bit so they can play faster/Berube hockey. When he won they had Pietro, Dunn, and Parayko.
 
A guy that wasn’t qualified but I’d take a shot on is Arthur Kaliyev. Over the last 4 years he has 0.86 ixG/60 and a 5.95 sh%.

On top of that he has 0.19 rel x GF%.

I’m sure he’d cost the min and potentially be a guy that can score on the 4th line.
