2026 NHL UFA/Trade Thread

Troy Stecher on waivers.

Wonder if the Habs grab him as he is a RHD.

Matheson Dobson
Hutson Carrier
Wifi/Struble Stecher

I think it was the Bruins’ players who forced management to dump Miller. Apparently Bergeron told them they didn’t want him in their room.
Lots of pressure from multiple angles.

From wikipedia:

"On November 4, 2022, Miller signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins.[14] The next day, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman stated that Miller was not eligible to play in the NHL, adding, "I can't tell you that he'll ever be eligible to come into the NHL."[15]

On November 6, 2022, the Bruins parted ways with Miller following considerable pressure from fans and current Bruins players."

What did he do again? Was he the guy shitting in hockey bags?

Maybe he will be allowed to play if he follows Randy Marsh

Yes. And "Coyotes renounced the rights to him after it emerged that he had repeatedly subjected a disabled black classmate to extreme bullying throughout multiple years of grade school."
The black part is what got him barred. People still cared about BLM movement at that time. If the victim had been white, he would be a Mammoth player now.

"The black part", lol. So racism is but a trifle now?

The color of the kid's skin played NO role in this. The kid was developmentally disabled and Miller conned him into eating a piece of candy that he had wiped in a urinal, in addition to beating him up on a regular basis. The racial slurs were just the cherry on the sundae.

I hope Miller gets press ganged into the Red Army and dies of dysentery on the steppe.

Bullying is really frowned upon. Bullying a disabled kid is extremely frowned upon. Bullying a disabled black kid is like the triple crown.
I don't think the NHL really cares about bullying, if they did, there would be few players left (and face it, being bullied is kind of part of growing up and being a hockey player which is a sport of domination). The disabled part added to it but the black aspect sent it over the top

I don't disagree. If he was only bullying another white non-disabled kid, it wouldn't have mattered to the league.
