Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

Narratives are always out of control in Toronto. The only time a coach was arguably unfairly "killed" is when they go to their next job and have obvious success. Babcock got fired within a fucking scaramucci from his next job because they found out that he actually was the psycho he got fired for being, and Sheldon is mid fail in New Jersey.

We haven't killed a coach yet. We've had 3 coaches fail here though, for sure.

Now there is a coach we unfairly killed in Toronto.

Since then though? Which of Randy, Wilson, Babcock, or Sheldon have gone on to prove us wrong for firing them? If anything, in retrospect, we gave all of them 50-100 games too many. Berube will be no different. The game has passed him by, he's trying to coach in 2015 still.

Is it wild that Wilson's reign seems the least bad of these 4?
 
Paul Maurice and Pat Quinn are probably the only Leaf coaches in my lifetime that got unfairly fired.

Maurice because he was saddled with the absolutely horrific goaltending of Raycroft/Toskala in his only two years here.

And then Quinn got gassed because two of the worst Leaf front office employees of my lifetime (Richard Peddie and JFJ) gradually pushed him out over their own petty jealousy.

Would be really fun if it’s Babcock and he starts off by inviting Connor and his wife over for lunch, only to demand that they give him access to all their personal pictures and videos so that he can peruse them for spank bank material.

And then kicks them out of his house without serving either of them lunch.
 
well maccelli's not signed that would just be approx his contract if we want to re-sign him as an RFA. so if you hate him he's easy to just release or trade rights. same as Robertson.

but he was at a 45pt pace this year with good nerdies relative to the team so I'd keep him.
