I dont get why they had to go to this extreme after all this tank talk for yearsIf the new financial & draft pick trade rules didn't exist, I'd hate this. It would be overly punitive to teams in markets that struggle to attract and retain good players. But with how difficult it's becoming to collect and keep talent around your star players, this is fine.
The other thing this will do is stop the hollowing out of the middle class quite so much. Non playoff teams were previously incentivized to run a bunch of cheap kids out there and suck, now there will be more of a market for veteran rotation players that can help those teams win more games, establish better, more professional cultures in their locker rooms, etc.

Give the bottom 10 teams a 7% chance to win the lottery and the remaining 6 a 5% chance
You can tank all you want your odds dont go up at all
Mebbe he goes and joins his 'Nova bros in NY for a year.Donte is a lovely player but he's not going to be back anytime soon from the achilles injury and we're already playing footsie with the cap, in an organization that won't spend into the tax unless we're expecting to legitimately compete.
Great buy low candidate when he hits free agency next summer though. I've got all sorts of time for Dante.

Ive seen Harrison Barnes as an affordable suggestion as a Mamu replacement.
