Sorry, I just know everyone was waiting to hear the fate of our 6th and 7th round draft picks that were still playing or waiting to play playoff games:
Canes draft picks and prospect stats through 4/26/2019.

Jesper Sellgren LHD (6th round 2018 SweHL Lulea) Playoffs 10 Games 3 Goals 3 Assists *** Lulea was eliminated by Frölunda in 5 games in their SemiFinal Matchup a couple of weeks ago.
Ville Rasanen LHD (7th round 2017 USHL Lincoln/Chicago): Playoffs 2 Games No points. *** Chicago eliminated Cedar Rapids in 4 games (best of 5) in the their conference Semi-Finals match-up. They will play Muskegon in the USHL Eastern Conference Finals. Rasanen played the last 2 of the 4 games (not sure if he was hurt, or what the story was).

Well, with no big club action, might as well listen in on the Cherkers...
Whaddayaknow, 1-0 Charlotte after 5 minutes... :thumbup1:
Derek Sheppard fights and gets 5 plus a misconduct.
Then my radio feed cuts out... and the Bears score somewhere in there before I get it back.
Power play goal by Necas, 2-1.
Bishop could be injured... not good with the shortage of forwards. (3rd period note: He's not returning)
Geekie scores, 3-1.
Poke check by Ned, but the Bears score anyway, 3-2.
Jurco scores, third point of the night. 4-2
Gauthier makes it a score dwind would be proud of. :thumbsup(22):

Jurco scores again, and this one's pretty much in the bag.
Although the Bears do show some life with another goal...
Leach goes after Mattheos, but Carrick sets him straight.
Necas scores again, Jurco with a 5 point night now.... 7-3.
That's all, folks... 2-0 series lead. Next three (if necessary) are all in Hershey.

Cherkers signed dman Jesper Sellgren (2018 draft, round 6) to a PTO. He still has 1 year on his contract with Lulea in the Swedish league, so no NHL contract yet. He had 3 goals, 12 assists in 52 games in his first year in the senior league.

The Florida Everblades are in the the Kelly Cup semifinals (first game is May 10th against the Newfoundland Growlers) The Canes really don't have prospects on their main roster except for our goalies, Callum Booth and Jeremy Helvig.
Booth's performance in the first 2 rounds of the Kelly Cup?
6-1 1.14 GAA .960 Sv%
Helvig has been less impressive:
2-2 2.47 GAA .873 Sv%
Helvig was the man for Florida most of the year. Booth only played 4 regular season games for the Everblades (with not so great numbers). Anyhow, winning at any level is a good thing for prospects.
