This is basically an extension of the bag policy at Carter Finley for football games and it's been a little bit bumpy over the last two seasons. It's tough on fans of visiting teams and people who don't come to a lot of games, which tells me that whatever they've tried to do by way of public education on the policy has NOT worked in the past.
I know one problem they're going to have for SURE. Kids in schools that have enforced "clear" plastic bag rules have generally been allowed to use clear standard sized backpacks and clear plastic bags with light patterns printed on them ... and this policy specifically prohibits those. Which frankly is kind of over-kill. Plus, this whole policy is squarely aimed at women. Men wouldn't give a crap for the most part, but the women I know don't like to have to give up their nice purses and bags for crappy clear plastic junk just to go to a game. To quote my Mom ... every time somebody figures out how to make one of those things cute, they put it on the prohibited list.
A hidden upside? Your clear plastic bag is perfectly fine on the floor underneath your seat, even when the moron behind you dumps an entire large beer on the floor after a goal. Wipe it off, move on with life.
