2019 NHL Entry Draft

Arpon Basu

Interesting, @TSNBobMcKenzie's draft rankings, a survey of 10 NHL scouts, has Soderstrom, Broberg, Seider, Harley and York ranked 14-18, or ranked 2-6 among d-men. Keep saying it, but if the Canadiens had to choose a year to pick 15th, this would be it

That's one of looking at it. Another, more cynical way - which is how I see it - to look at it is that they're all prospects with holes in their game and with real questions that need answering. They're all players that have real upside, but they're all players that could easily bust, especially Broberg. The more I read about him, the less I'm interested in taking him.

For those of you who understand French, there's a 3 hour podcast going over the upcoming draft, the Habs' prospect pool and a bunch of other things that I cannot recommend more. It was released earlier today.

It is very, very good and worth you're time if you're into this type of content.

Thanks for the link, I didn't know that podcast. Can't be more Québécois than having a podcast nammed "Drette s'ul tape".

Apparently it'll be one of these guys that the habs will pick

Thomas Harley, Cam York, Ville Heinola, Moritz Seider

Says who?

The culmination of several mock drafts have these four as do odd makers.

By several accounts Cam York will be the pick if all four are still around at #15 according to most mock drafts.

I honestly can't disagree, I can't see this team drafting a forward when Timmins made it obvious that they lean towards drafting by need.

Since 1980, the Canadiens average first round pick, rounded to the nearest integer, is 15.

Pronman also has us taking Cam York.
