That's more than half of the team.

In a way, yes, but the amount of players that have been drafted in a single year has never come close to this, especially not in the top-end. 10 of them were taken before the 50th pick.

Next year, the crop from that program is projected to be a lot weaker. Projections have only three first rounders if the draft was being held today.

I'm not so sure about that. Aside from Caufield I don't see any hidden gems, not like last year. I have no clue why they didn't package to move up to acquire Kaliyev or Lavoie, at least someone with potential.

Yep after the first round it was pretty underwhelming

Baldy Pierre mentioned it about 4 years ago , they will dominate the 2019 first round

Definitely should have moved up for Kaliyev. Huge opportunity missed there.

Struble could end up being that hidden gem ala Romanov.
