2019-Whenever Misc. Grab Bag Thread

She will always be Lola ("I want to bare your children!") Heatherton to me! Very sad about her passing.
Lola was her first real shot across the bow. And enough for me to adore her forever.

We’re now down five of the ragtag SCTV crew … John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Harold Ramis, Tony Rosato and now Catherine.

Just saw that. My kids got me a tshirt for Christmas with her on it screaming ‘Kevin!” From home alone. My name is Kevin for context lol
When I worked at Revlon, I’d have to periodically go to the office in New York. The office was on Madison between 58th and 59th Streets and for a hot minute, we had a corporate rate at The Plaza, 2 blocks away. My kids would always tell me to say hello to Kevin when I got there.

When I grew up in Ontario SCTV had their own comedy club in Toronto and I was lucky enough to see one of their shows, I still have fond memories of that crew…Bob and Doug McKenzie are still probably the best ever “make fun of Canadians and their ways” all time. Loved that crew growing up North of the Border! I still own a LP album of Bob and Doug McKenzie doing their thing…

5 inches so far and it’s still coming down. Imagine how much we would have gotten if it started when they said it would. Snow did not start here until like 6pm. So this is all from 6 hours of snow.

Have family in Jacksonville and Topsail. Some places saw 7-8” and others got over a foot.

I just went and shoveled and salted my mother in laws sidewalk and driveway and they got about an inch or 2 less than my house and she lives literally 5 streets over in the same neighborhood lol

It’s funny seeing the ‘official’ totals. I think they use local airports for most of their official stuff, but they say Fayetteville got 3-4” when I can tell you all around me in Fayetteville got at least 6” and we got 8.5. I live 4 miles from the airport.
