This is simply amazing to me. I've heard a dozen excuses and reasons why. Basically what I'm hearing is they are trying to protect kids from shitty parenting. Most kids won't be at school on Monday.

Meh ... it takes a bloody 2x4 pretty much everywhere, man. It would help if the wishy washy State officials would quit recommending things and start imposing emergency measures, which are 100% within the constitutional powers of the Executive in this State. Thus far, they've declared a state of emergency pretty much just to make sure that consumer price gouging protections are in place and otherwise merely dithered and made concerned clucking noises. The feds aren't the only ones facing a leadership void.

I work from home and pretty much only leave the house for "large gatherings" like sporting events, movies, work at the theme parks, and the like. So ... yeah. The next couple of weeks of social distancing are hardly a lifestyle adjustment for me. For others, I recognize that it's a MUCH bigger issue.
