He went tenth. Had the Habs not been involved with the charity cup and lost the lottery they'd have picked ninth. Perfetti would have been perfect for the Habs.
And had they only won 9 games all season . . .
The biggest problem in the draft is our competition all got better with higher upside players.
Huge difference in potential between Perfetti and Guhle too. Perfetti has 1st line potential and Guhle who knows really. The franchise really needed a home run again this draft. We basically squeaked into the charity playoffs and got screwed.

My thoughts are:
Guhle - will eventually bust out to third pair.
Tuch - will make the NHL as a bottom 6 guy
Mysak - Could be the real hidden gem here, top 6 forward.
Smith - I would rather have had the guy Tampa picked with our pick MB traded them (Finley). Smith won't make the NHL.
Biondi - Tons of skill, not mature. Another Fischer me thinks but because there is skill I will defer judgment on this one. Gut says bust though.
Farrell - AHL lifer
Dobes - will be forgotten shortly
Gordin - Stays in Russia.

Could be a top 15-20 point producer in this league , made other players expendable
Same with Rossi who I think will be a star in Minny
So let’s assume you’re completely correct. That’s still 3 players in your lineup from a single draft. That’s actually pretty good.
I think Timmins likes his guys that he has 4 years to decide on rather than 2 because of the glut of prospects coming from the last 2 years
Guhle …. Parayko …..too much talent to be a bust
Tuch ….Armia top 9 …..his hands cant be worse
Mysak ….top 6
Biondi.....one of these MR ….everything award guys has to pan out ….why not him
Farrell and Smith will need 4 years but should sniff in some NHL action …...Farrell has a huge motor
