Sure. Worth a shot. Labanc was a useful NHLer not all that long ago and I'm not sure that a half season getting 10 minutes a game with Columbus' 4th line stiffs was the best showcase for his game. If you're going to be a bottom of the lineup guy who has some shiftiness, better to try it on a team like Carolina that has some skill on their 4th line. Same kind of thing the Canes did with Jost last year. He can slug it out for the extra forward slot with Jost and Smith.

LaBanc had shoulder surgery in February which pretty much shut down his season...hopefully he got that all cleaned up and looking for a fresh start, even if that means to Chicago on a two way deal if he can work his way into a contract.

Keep in mind ... there are only a handful of us old timers in the building on any given game night. If everybody left over from his 1999-2000 holdout started booing at once, the arena would think about 500 old people had lost their minds.
The Athletics staff has updated their player tiers. And within each tier, there are subgroups.
Tier 1 is a top 10 player, someone teams are built around. McDavid, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Makar, Barkov, Kucherov, Q. Hughes, Matthews Kaprizov, Pastrnak. That’s it.
Tier 2 is a franchise player, top 30, unquestionably elite. Crosby heads this list. The Canes have Aho and Slavin in this group, albeit in the 3rd subgroup.
Tier 3 is an All star, top 60 player. Jarvis is in the top group of this tier along with guys like Guentzel, Hedman, Josi.
Tier 4 is a star, a top 100 player. Ehlers and Svech are in the top group of this tier along with guys like Barzal, Bedard, Kempe.
Tier 5 is support, a top 150 player. The Canes don’t have anyone in this group but players like Hamilton, Buchnevich and Ekblad are listed.

In the end, Keith Primeau's holdout was the best thing to happen to this franchise. Who knew?

My feelings are on a more personal level. He was one of this first players I interacted with when I started with the team. Luckily. The other 19 dudes were top notch human beings

Yup that was my thought. Not enough contrast between the colors with being no white in there to break it up
He will if given the opportunity. He said many times that he’d have no problem making the jersey look like a racing fire suit. I’m semi-surprised that Lenovo is on the helmets, even after the naming rights deal started. I would have figured he’d try to get money from someone else.
