What’s with this shade being thrown at Dundon? Don’t like the new uniforms, no worries. The guy has transformed this franchise into a top performer on and off the ice since he bought it.

At least for me, it’s all in good fun. After all those years in the darkness, as long as he’s keeping this product on the ice, I’m a happy man.
 
I want a uniform where everything is all black. So black that you can't see any wrinkles or folds in the clothes. So black that light just kind of falls into it and disappears.
 
Indirect reports (very indirect, you have to kind of connect some dots) that the Canes will be major players for Kaprizov if the Wild decide they have to trade him.

Not that the Canes involvement as a potential trade partner for any player is really newsworthy anymore, but there is chatter out there. If there are any real trade talks between the Canes and Wild about Kaprizov, I would expect Svech would be part of the package (10 team trade clause however) along with some top prospect and a 1st round pick?

Michael Russo (Wild hockey reporter) said yesterday that there seems to be 'more noise' about the Wild trading Kaprizov than potentially keeping him. He still doesn't think he will be traded though.

LeBrun's column in The Athletic today specifically said the Wild are not engaged in trade talks about Kaprizov.

It is, however, still fun to speculate. While Kirill would be a tremendous addition, I don't see how it addresses our biggest need--a top two center. I would feel more excited about a Kapirzov acquisition if we hadn't already added Ehlers.

We also would be trading away assets and again not doing anything to fix our #2 center issue. Also, a trade with Svech and Kaprizov being the primary pieces makes us even smaller and slighter than the team already is.

Good points. I’m not worried about size as much as others…IF they get a guy like him that will pour in goals like no one we’ve probably ever had on this roster….i realize that Florida is huge and bullies there way around the division, but the reason the hurricanes have lost all those series is not because they couldn’t take the physicality, it’s because they couldn’t find the back of the net. They found ways to get 45 shots and score one goal even in the most physical of games. This guy would solve that problem. But they do still need a #2 C
 
Stay with what we've got and keep some money in the till for when a boost to the roster would help for the playoff push. I'd love to have this KK, but his ask will be huge. Plus, each player is only a knee injury away from the pressbox. I'd hate to have that much salary tied up in one player & him not be able to go. He's freakin' magic on the ice, a difference maker, and fun to watch. I couldn't justify spending that high a percentage of the cap on one guy.

Well ... looks like they're announcing today that 1st Citizen's Bank will be the helmet sponsor this season.

Kinda disappointed. I wanted Panda Express.
