Dukes parking may be atrocious but that seating is much closer to the sidelines than many other stadiums.

Yeah, that’s why I think it would be a great venue. It’s a great old style stadium and would make an awesome setup for hockey. I love going to games there. It’s even got pretty good space for tailgating … provided you can get there. Which can be a challenge.

I like watching football there. It always feels way closer to the action that bigger stadiums. And I agree, it would make good hockey stadium.

I saw the Stones at both Carter-Finley and Wallace Wade. Carter-Finley facilities and parking were so much better than Duke. My sight lines at Wallace Wade were so much better, though and made for a more intimate show. On the other hand, my seats at Carter-Finley for the Stadium Series were just fine, but it’s really a big venue. The NHL has no business running the parking or gates— just a giant mess.
