2025-26 Canes Miscellaneous Thread

Miller was back at practice, Slavin was in a regular jersey, Aho didn’t practice. Fensore was sent back to Chicago. With Bussi listed first, it’s a fair assumption that he’s starting tomorrow.

I believe someone asked about Freddie and his horrible starts to games recently (really most of the season).

Thanks for posting this. I knew it was bad, but not that bad!
 
So, last night I was having dinner at a very busy Winston’s Grille. It was packed. I saw an older gentleman seated at the table next to ours and thought he looked familiar. About 10 minutes later in walk Tom Dundon and Justin Williams. The older fellow they met— Jim Rutherford. The couple I was dinning with had worked with JR in the past. As we were getting up to leave, Rutherford recognizes them, says hello and briefly shared that he was in town with his wife and family and seeing his daughter who is still in town.

My parents moved out of the neighborhood a couple of years ago, but they used to live down the street from Jimmy. His daughter was still living in his house years and years after he left town, so I always assumed he still owned the place.
 
Looking at Alumni Game roster. for tonight... Peter Harrold? I mean, OK, but 274 NHL games for LA and NJ, 0 for us. Is this like when your beer league team has 9 for the game and calls in a "sub"? :D

Yes, but he’s also the current director of player development so he’s an easy position filler and a part of the organization just not in 2006 😛

Not going tonight, although it would be fun to watch. Squeezing this game into the long home game stretch and especially between 4 games in 6 nights and I might as well file for divorce.
