2025-26 Canes Miscellaneous Thread

Can't imagine better timing for asking for this approval!
Yeah … certainly. Although this was just the formal funding approval and the bond incumbrance had been voted on and approved a long time ago. I guess the panel technically could have pulled the plug at this stage, but it would have triggered a lawsuit that they would certainly have lost. So … yeah.

Email from the Canes with info on the game 6 watch party. Tickets go on sale to STM at 12:30 on Friday, general on sale at 3. It’s not general admission anymore, you‘ll pick specific seating locations. And it’s through your Hurricanes Account Manager not Ticketmaster, which should cut down on code sharing. Still a 6 ticket limit.

Watch party for game 6 STM presale started (at least for me) at 10AM. Ticketmaster running the show, which of course means running it into the ground. At this pace I will be in the queue for 6 hours and end up not being able to get tickets.

I got logged in about 930a and refreshing the page until it had a buy tickets link at 10:03 or so.. my 6 are spoken for but hang in there good luck!

The only correspondence I got was an email on Wednesday noting my time at 12:30. A friend that has the same time got in around 9:30 but when she got to 0 in the queue, she got a message that no tickets were available. So maybe she should have waited until her assigned time?

I got same 'no events available' message prior to 10am after getting through the queue, well like 10:03.... kept refreshing on the buy tickets tab and then 10:03 boom the event was listed

Were you limited to lower bowl? My fear that as the people in the lower bowl grab the available seats, those of us with later times will be closed out.

Let me put it this way. I was able to get in at 10:05 and was 1850 in the queue. Its 11:30 now and I'm still 1295 in the queue. If EVERYONE is claiming 6 tickets there won't be much left by the time the general public is allowed to pick through what is left. I'm wondering if they are going to threaten anyone trying to resell these with losing their season tickets or having tickets voided like was threatened before.

That warning is on the email we got at 10:00am, yes:

Please note: this is not a General Admission event, and you will be purchasing specific seating locations on a first come, first serve basis with a 6-ticket purchase limit. Watch party tickets are not eligible for resale. Tickets posted for resale may result in cancellation of all Canes tickets.

Looks like the timing was based on seating level, not account priority, which is why I got in at 10 and Andy was given a 12:30... this is from Wednesday's email.
STM Presale access will be based on your Season Ticket seating level in an effort to allow STMs the opportunity to purchase seats near their regular season location, based on availability.

MANY10AMs are going to still be in the queue by the time 12:30 rolls around (including me). I'm only claiming 3 tickets....hopefully EVERYONE is actually not just claiming 6 tickets.

Yeah. I got word late that some friends were interested and I’m stuck in the queue in the 2000s. Not super hopeful, but we’ll see. And dang, this thing is moving SLOW

The whole ticket purchase process via the STM portal is darn slow to begin with using the fancy 3D map and selecting seats. Looks like they might only be letting like a max of 20 people actually get in at a time. Those who haven't used this before are going to take a while navigating it.

I finally got below 500 in the queue ahead of me (from 1850) after almost 3 hours.

I will be interested to know how they are handling the 12:30 group....are they just sticking that group behind everyone else that is still waiting from the earlier times?

My rep told me that if I was still above 500 in the queue at 12:15 to stay in line. We’re at 700 now. She said there were still seats left.
