Carolina has been scouting Washington, presumably looking at Dowd. Darned effective and very consistent 4th line grunt. Expensive for what he does, but at least he shows up and does it.

Lots of waiver activity today. The Blues placed Mathieu Joseph on waivers for contract termination, he’ll become a UFa if he clears. If he signs with someone before 3 pm tomorrow, he’ll be eligible for the playoffs.

Connor Garland to Columbus for a 2nd and 3rd. He signed a 6 year/$6 million AAV extension on July 1 thst kicks in next season. It has a full NMC. His current deal doesn’t have any protection.

Malkin will get 2 games, at most. If it were a scrub, or lesser known player,, they'd get 12. Even though this isn't his first offense.
