2025 NHL UFA/Trade Thread

Basically Dubas has told Brisson that his plan for a rebuild is going ahead as scheduled and Sid is welcome to stick around for it, but that no, they will not be band-aiding in an attempt to make the playoffs and be competitive.

Of course, Dubas will only be permitted to do this if ownership doesn't lose their nerve and decide that keeping Sid happy is more important than tanking for the next generational star.

Dubas is probably already there. Need to soften up the media (which is in denial, apparently) and fans.
