2nd Rnd '25 Playoffs: Leafs vs Panthers - Flo-Rida them onto the ECF - LFG!

Here's what I'm feeling about this series...

I think Matthews and Barkov are great Selke type players... advantage this year is that Papi is younger and has the ability to score goals naturally than Barkov. Barkov has played a lot of hockey and didn't get much time off and lastly he got rocked pretty hard by Hagel in rd 1.

Knies is not going to be denied going to the front of the net this time around.

Holmberg's defensive play and general size in the centre position has finally given Domi a wing he could play on and I think the best LW there is Patches. That third line now is pesty, aggressive and has a legit threat to score with a guy like patches.

Then you keep the laighton lorentz line but I may bring Kampf back in at centre with Laughton and Lorentz on the wing.

Mcmann finally played a strong game in game 6 and if he can keep that going, he makes the JT and Willy line the best threat

Knies Papi Marner
McMann JT Willy
Patches Holmberg Domi
Lorentz Kampf Laughton

The guys who were surprisingly great this year (Hedman, Cirelli, Hagel) were the ones who got demolished in this series. I'm not sure i'm all that surprised. Hagel getting suspended hurt bigtime too.

Team PP

FLA: 9.21xgf/60 (#8), 9.79gf/60 (#7)
OTT: 3.11xgf/60 (#16), 2.60gf/60 (#15)

But this might be the real key. The Panthers absolutely smothered the Bolts' very good PP (#18 xgf, #6 gf during the season). The Panthers' PP was good just like regular season but nothing great. It was the PK that was the difference.

Extra scary given our history of letting our PP get smothered. Let's hope our PP can get it done.

Hey everyone...I have an option of going to game one or two.

If you had a choice what game should I pick.

Game one may be one that Florida comes in all horned up and maybe we get some pp chances.

What should be my choice?

I'd go to game 1. I have a hard time seeing us win both games. Thinking we have a better chance game 1 with the crowd and Ekblad out.

Panthers PK is super duper aggressive. Expect its gonna give us fits

3rd line matchup could easily be the difference this series. We need game 6 Domi for the duration. And Marchy seems to fucking love playing us too…

Yup. Its like they make an effort to avoid being too entertaining.

I will likely pvr the games, and watch the back half early the next morning before I can find out the results
I do that on west coast games. 10:30 starts are a no for me.
