I didn't watch, but I don't doubt that Mitch had a lot of puck possession around the outside of the ice, a lot of it while heading away from the net and looking to put passes into the middle of the ice without ever putting himself at risk in it. He probably "fed" a bunch of Knights in the high slot who had 2-4 Utah players between them in the net and just hoped that someone could put one through that.

We saw it for years here, and it's losing hockey against good teams in the playoffs.

God…I’m always so tempted to jump in and troll Paul, but have to remind myself he’s not worth the time of day.

As lucky as Pittsburgh is for ending up with Crosby and the rest of the guys and of course, you'd take that player every fuckin time... at this point it's a bit of a curse. They can't trade him unless he asks for it, so they just can't do a proper rebuild. Can you imagine the assets they could have got for Sid, Geno, Letang, Rust and others if they decided to rebuild last summer, or the year before? Realistically they could already be reaping the rewards. Instead, they're going to be a bubble team for a couple more years then have to rebuild slowly.
