Tough to say because it's about roles in a system. He's only ever been at the top distributing and shooting. Can he work the boards on the entry, go after and get pucks in the corner, move through the forward slots to support the puck, etc? I mean, it's Karlsson so maybe but I don't think it's as simple as "He's more talented than Nuge, so put him in".

Put it this way...I would rather a lesser 4th forward out there allowing for the operation of a modern PP system than to go old school with 2 D on the point like it's 1999.
