Never said he's a bad goalie. He's a very good one. But if he can't play more than 35 games a season and can't be expected to be around for a full playoff series, what good is he?

I do think it actually will be a very good tandem, but Stolarz/Hildeby also could have been just as good or better, and cost us $6M less that we could reinvest in a good forward. Do we want Stolarz/Hildeby and Marchment (assuming he was open) or Bob/Stolarz and Blueger and be hoping that Bob isn't bad and Stolarz stays moderately healthy? It's such an easy choice and it's unsettling that Chaykes botched it.
 
I just watched the Chaykes presssr in full. He’s legit obsessed with Bob. There’s no goalie in the world that he’d rather have start a game 7? This is weird fanboy stuff. He blew his load unnecessarily. Hope he’s right that he’s going to have as monster an impact as he thinks. And it doesn’t sound like he has any plans to trade off Stolarz. This is a sad misstep that informed his entire ufa day strategy.

why would he trade Stolarz now, I don't get this point. Once Bob signed, he needed to trade one of Stolarz or Hildeby. We can debate which was the right choice but the bottom line is it was Hildy, so this is the tandem, Bob and Stolarz. Arty is a great 3rd option but he should start the season with the Marlies.
