Ignore if you're not a nerd like me. But I found this unsurprising but interesting. I'm paraphrasing but:
Mehta: "we did a bunch of research on positions, in terms of how important it is to have forwards on their strong side (the way they shoot) vs their weak side. And one of the things we found when it comes to forwards is that there's basically no positions. If I showed you a heat map of where guys are on the ice, it would be impossible to tell which wing they play or if they play center. I think it's different for d and maybe a little different for forwards in the dzone, but outside of that, there's basically no positions and I feel the right wing vs left wing stuff gets overblown sometimes."
