Happy Pride, everyone! 
Have been happily studying with this gal for over 15 years - well worth the BLC=>SF commute. Her "gaydar" was on the fritz first time we met, so I told her about the time I figured out that the bar I'd been frequenting (after my move from SD to SF) was a gay men's bar.
A year after I'd been going in there.
"What did you do " she wanted to know.
"Well," I told her, "kept going in there 'cuz I knew and liked just about everyone in there, plus it was only one block away from my apartment, AND started going in there before dates with straight men so I could solicit wardrobe checkups."
It's like some of those "gals" used to say: "Honey, he's not gonna notice if your hem's a little crooked, but we will."
