Bruins Series Thread (no not a gameday thread), featuring too many stats

Re: Bruins Series Thread (no not a gameday threat), featuring too many stats.

I don't have as big of a problem with his reliance on experience as you guys do. Yeah I'd like to see Johnsson in, but at the same time, it's human nature to trust people who have been around longer, done it before.

If all other things were equal, absolutely go with the experienced guy. If all other things are close...go with the experienced guy. When young guys are blowing the doors off of the experienced guy in results though, no.

The problem with Babcock's "tie goes to the veteran" thing, is that it's never really a tie that is going to the veteran. It's a wipe out loss that is still going to the veteran because "man".

and in before "but elite penalty killer". Hyman, Pleks, Brown, Kappy, Johnsson are all excellent penalty killers. It's a specialists niche that we just don't need filled on this roster.

The good thing is, next season a bunch of "boys," will be gud pros.

Well yeah, but we can already see that the wrong guys are his new "gud pros". Hyman, Brown, Zaitsev.

Let's see how Komarov looks, see what Babcock does, he hasn't screwed things up yet.

I'm not passing judgement, just stating a significant concern.

That's one of my favourite Gif's of all time. Every time my son sends me a text telling me he did something...I send him this.

followed by something like ... you win the internets

It's an apple commercial. Kids name is Brent Rambo so he was automatically a badass

I'd like to see our PK stats with/without Leo. We dropped out of the top 10 towards the end of the season, a run I believe coincided with him being out of the lineup.

If the stats do not support him being a better PKer than the kids though, then I really don't see a reason he should stay in the lineup. If the stats bear it out though, I think that is an acceptable rationale - not that I agree with it, but the logic at least is there.

Wish this old fool with the bad die job would give it up. He is awful.

Leo is a better penalty killer than the kids. He's not much better than the kids though, who are legitimately very good in their own rights.

So you lose a little something by not having Leo on the PK, but it's not a lot. What we've giving away 5 on 5 is pretty significant though.

He’s good on the PK, but no business being on the PP.

Just fell off a cliff.

Hoping his defensive pest presence still proves impactful while he’s here.

Enjoy him while he's around because if Dubas takes over he's gone.

All Leo does is work hard. That's not enough. It's mind-boggling on this team with all that talent he can get PP time.
The way to beat the Bruins is to make the fastest lineup possible.

things are always too far in a playoff series. can't afford to give any shifts away.

The problem is Babs' old time view of pkers will prevent him from ever healthy scratching Leo the Man for even a guy like Mango.

Lucky Bruins - wingels isn't at practice, so Donato is "forced" into the lineup.
