Seriously? If you can get the same level of trash goaltending for 1.1m as 5m then you can, and im no math guy here but i think use, 3.9m elsewhere to improve the team
 
Serious question. If you get Laf do you move a F?

I can see the argument for a D or for futures and cap room to go after Pietro?

I can also see keeping all 5 and not taking an inferior return

Yes I get the long term advantage of having similar goaltending at a lower price.

I am simply analyzing this particular series. The rosters are the rosters. The expectation actually wasn't that Anderson would have to be much better than Korp/Elvis for us to win. People were afraid of Anderson being much worse and that alone would be a big reason we could lose if he shat the bed.

But that hasn't happened. And we are still losing in the series and collapsed in epic fashion yet again last night.

I just want to watch a team with a top 6 of:

Laf-Matthews-Marner
Robertson-Tavares-Nylander

That is fucking ridiculous.
 
Kinda wanting to see what happens if we aren’t overly coached. Just skate hard, show our speed & skill and try and out score them.

Keep everyone together, but then you have all sorts of flex to trade the lesser forwards like Johnsson and Kappy in a deal for a big time D.

Since Laf will only cost $1M, that frees up like $5M right there.

If hes a star on an island i agree but if he goes to a place with studs, egad.

Putting him on toronto, edmonton, pittsburgh winnipeg or chicago would be filthy

Our offence has generated significantly more chances and high danger chances than they have. The offence has scored 3 goals in back to back playoff games against one of the best defensive teams in the NHL. The offence hasn't been a problem the last 2 games. You aren't going to score 4-5 against the Blue Jackets very often.

In a hard capped league, everyone should care.

Columbus has out goaltended us. Their goalies have consistently faced higher volume and quality of chances.
