GDT: Avalanche @ Maple Leafs @ 7:00pm - Cup Final Preview

I had a whopper once for science and I think it was because of your recommendation. It sort of almost tasted like OG Harveys back before any semblance of quality that they had was torched. Sort of. I thought it was a nice product. It has been at least a year since I ordered one but if I was stuck somewhere with nothing else in town I wouldn't hesitate to grab it again.

BK is barely fucking edible. Last time I ordered a burger from them I did not finish it, which is extremely, extremely rare for me.
 
Again, I haven't had a burger there since maybe the early 90s. And I do recall the last time I did, I hated it, so that's one reason why.

The chicken sandwich is a different thing entirely.
 
Thinking there is a big debate from last nights game happening to find out were talking about burgers. Love this place.

My whole purpose on this forum has become trying to get people to try the unlikely hero on fast food menus.

It's impossible not to like the BK original chicken, if done right. But whatever, you guys keep avoiding the place because of its bad burgers.
 
haven't indulged for many years, but I did like me a Whopper wit cheese and extra pickles once upon a time. Now what is BK like now? I have no clue.
 
I wonder if the BK fries there are the same as they are here. Back in the day over there, I remember they were McD knockoffs - skinny, salty, and generally decent. Over here, they're now thicker, and really excellent.
 
BK changes them every so often, but somehow they never get much better. Of the major chains, Wendy's has the best fries imo.
 
I think they're great now. Definitely prefer them to McD.

Is it just me or did McD fries go from being almost as addictive as heroin, to just meh now?
 
it's weird because they look and taste the same, but are pretty meh now.

probably because they removed the beef fat from the oil because of vegans and also took out the heroin because cancel culture

Yeah, it started with the MSG removal. From there, it's been all downhill.

But I don't think they taste the same at all. Tastes very different now, that's the issue. Also, the texture of them or something, they're now kind of cardboard-y. Before they had much better fluff.
 
late into this conversation, but BK whopper is the BEST burger out there. The Teen burger at A&W is delicious as well.

We also ate last night at Ruth Chris' and paid a ridiculous amount of money for an OK dinner.

Whopper Wednesday's are the greatest ever.
 
Confession time, never had a whopper in my life.

Teen Burger is fairly good as far as true fast food burgers go.

Haven't had takeout in 3 months so I'll just live vicariously through your burger talk.
