There is a systemic issue with this core that a coaching change is not going to fix overnight, if ever. The mental fortitude (or lack there of) and lack of commitment/leadership from the top guys will always trickle down the line-up and create a situation where any level of adversity gets these guys gripping their sticks and straying away from the game-plan.

Not sure what change people were expecting.
 
Also very hard to overcome adversity and succeed when you don't give a shit. Seems like Bernier is starting to get to that point as well.
 
What's scary is the lack of pride in these guys. Do they not care about how embarrassing they are on the ice? I mean these last few weeks have been Edmonton-bad in terms of quality and their coach was just fired. You would think it would give them a kick in the ass but alas, this group never ceases to amaze.

Probably the most frustrating Leafs team I have witnessed, ever.
