I absolutely fvcking hate how Clarkson spends the dying minute of a game with our net empty. Fvcking hate how much he is used.
 
It's weird that they don't seem to care if the other team runs the score up when they get a few goals behind. They really do need a head buster on that team(gary roberts type) who will not put up with that attitude for even a second.
 
My two biggest beefs with Randy on full display in this one:

1. Bozak with Kessel; Kadri playing with stiffs, and;

2. Clarkson getting PP duties.

Stupidity is apparently contagious.
 
Hilariously, we looked better in this game than we did in our winning streak.

We had some breakdowns but for the first time in a long time we didn't spend the whole game in our zone and we carried the play for good stretches.

Bernie had a tough night, but may also have been unlucky. Seems like all the goals went post in. That won't happen too often.

This is a loss I can live with. If they play more like this consistently they'll be fine.

Agree completely. This team needs an enema.
 
I ripped this team during most of their wins, even some big ones, so I have no problem praising them in this one. Much better game tonight than we've seen in a while.

Losing the special teams battle made this one look much worse than it actually was.

Keep telling yourself that. Just finding new and exciting ways to lose. No fight in this team - same as the teams Randy used to coach.

This is a team we've seen turtle in countless third periods, but they didn't tonight.
 
One notable improvement was that there was much less dangerous traffic in close to Bernier. I think each of those goals was from a distance. That's an improvement.

What didn't improve was the effort level. They looked almost lackadaisical for most of the game. Didn't see too many guys skating hard.

Yes. It was a marked improvement. A better performance by Bernier, and this game could have been better for us.
 
I'm actually surprised how much better they looked, and how noticeable a couple of systems tweaks were.

I'm hoping this wasn't just a flash in the pan.
 
This game was garbage right from the beginning. Gardiner it felt was on the ice for every goal against.

The intermission guys talking about the bad line changes were 100% on the button. Lazy. There is no excuse for not skating hard to get off the ice. We saw this a few times where it caused an odd mad rush.

To whoever is saying they saw more fight, i think they were watching Maple Leafs classics, because what we saw tonight was more of the same.

This game was shit, stats schmats. But we got more shots than them? How about outscored 6-2?
